Training
Somatic Experiencing®
Somatic Trauma Therapy, developed by Dr. Peter Levine, is a naturalistic, and neurobiological, body-oriented approach to healing trauma and other stress-related disorders; restoring the authentic self with self-regulation, relaxation, wholeness, and aliveness.
Dynamic Attachment Re-patterning Experience (DARe)
Developed by Dr. Diane Poole-Heller, Dynamic Attachment Re-patterning Experience teachings rests on the firm belief that we are hardwired to heal. Our bodies and our brains are storing memories of early experiences, creating patterns that deeply affect our relationships and our behaviors in adult life.
Somatic Resilience and Regulation
Developed by Kathy Kain and Stephen Terrel, Somatic Resilience and Regulation focuses on understanding the effects of Developmental Trauma on the child, as well as the developing adult.
Family Systems Training
Family systems therapy draws on systems thinking in its view of the family as an emotional unit. When systems thinking—which evaluates the parts of a system in relation to the whole—is applied to families, it suggests behavior is both often informed by and inseparable from the functioning of one’s family of origin.
Stopping the Violence Program BC
Stopping the Violence Counselling Services (STVC) provides counselling support to women who have experienced, or are at risk of, abuse, threats, or violence in an intimate relationship, sexual assault or childhood abuse.
Mindfulness Teacher Training
I am participating in a two-year mindfulness teacher training to deepen my practice of mindfulness.
